Playing/Member Fees

UCHC provides its members with some of the cheapest playing fees in the ACT. Our fees have only increased $5 (student & non-student categories) since 2013.

What do you get for your money?

 

  • A game each week in the local ACT competition on international standard turf;

  • Training at least once a week on international standard turf;

  • A professionally run club with devoted coaches, managers, administrators and fellow players;

  • Access to a wide range of quality uniforms and off-field apparel, only available to members;

  • A good reason to get out and exercise in Canberra during winter;

  • A club where you meet lots of fun, social people who understand that the fun should be had both on and off the pitch; 

  • Access to limited offer UCHC items including our famous Finals Packs and other winter items;

  • A part of the best social calendar of any hockey club in the ACT including events such as bar rally, trivia night, wine tasting, lawn bowls season opener, Christmas in July, Presentation night and more;

  • Opportunities to be a part of the Hockey ACT community, as either a player, umpire, coach, technical official, spectator or club/HACT administrator; and

  • Opportunities to mix with students, ex-students and professionals in the ACT community.

 

Fee Schedule

Fee Categories Explained

UC Student - Must be enrolled and study (at least 1st semester) at the University of Canberra

Non-Student - Regular member, not enrolled to study. 

Junior - Must be under 18 years old at commencement of competition season.

Goalie with own gear - Must play as a goalie for the season and have their own kit

Representative Player - Those who are selected and compete in current ACT U21's or Australian Hockey One League or represent Australia in hockey at any level.

Life Member - Those that have been inducted by the club as a Life Member

Social Comp - Those not playing in regular winter competition, but in social competition during the winter season (eg, Midweek competition)

*Players wanting to play in a second grade are encouraged to speak to a BoM member regarding fee payment & commitment expectations.

Hockey Australia Participation Fee
Hockey Australia have introduced a new player levy of $57.31+GST+online fee (or $45.31+GST+online fee for under 18's), that must be paid online at the time of registration. This is in addition to the fee schedule above.

Club Day or Pre-season Training: At least $50 
Before First game: At least $100
Before Round 7: 50% of fees
Before Round 13: 100% of fees

Late fees may be applied for payment after round 13.
